I have had hundreds of listening hours with Oshkosh residents about their community concerns and have been the "go to" person on local issues for my colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family, referring them to specific City departments.
Asks questions, gets answers, seeks solutions.
I'm committed to getting the right information in a timely manner to people that need it. We have the technology; let's use it to engage citizens. And, for those on the non-digital side, let's communicate in a way that is helpful about things that matter.
Not afraid to bring up tough issues.
When inquiring minds want to know, but might not be ready to ask that tough question, I make it my mission to ask and get answers. I provide a voice for those who don't think their opinion matters. Your voice and your vote counts, and together we CAN make a difference.
Understands real people need real representation, not Business as Usual politicians.
If we are to strengthen this community, sometimes we have to question the way we do things and why we do them. Is it because it's best for us or because that's the way it's always been done? It's time for change. Seniors, caretakers, workers, students all have different ways of navigating this city and its policies. An example, people with mobility issues depend on transit and clear sidewalks to get around Oshkosh- are we doing our best to make that happen, or are we making excuses about why we can't?
